take a disco w|marcel vogel (lumberjacks in hell|amsterdam)
saturday 24.08.2013|23h
nachtasyl|thalia theater, alstertor 1, hamburg

we are proud to be hosting a very special disco night with amsterdam's infamous underground disco edit maestro & label don marcel vogel (lumberjacks in hell, intimate friends).

as a dj, marcel is one of the craftiest disco selectors in the scene, known globally for his creativity effortlessly blending everything from soul, funk, disco, boogie & house vibes into his sets like it ain't no thing and playing a extended sets of rare unreleased dancefloor groves that no one else has. his label 'lumberjacks in hell' is a driving force in the new school disco scene, championing old school infections grooves with a catalog of the hottest edits around which include releases from the likes of; dj rahaan, jamie 3:26 & hugo h just to name a few. they have put out that much disco fire that industry source '5 magazine' described the label as 'the best chicago label not physically located in chicago'...

take a disco w|thomas hammann (robert johnson/workshop rec.)

26.04.2013|23h|nachtasyl at thalia theater|alstertor 1 hamburg

short info about our guest:
most of you will know thomas hammann from his mix cd for live at robert johnson, a collaboration with gerd janson. hammann is a dj since the early 80s and few have soaked up german house history like him. what fire ata macias kindled with the wild pitch club during the mid-nineties in frankfurt, thomas hammann ignited at the kesselhaus in nearby darmstadt. in july, thomas debuted as a producer on workshop, under the name 808 mate with nothing less but a grace kelly of a house track, luminously beautiful.
